Drink Driving Laws and Penalties

Hand on heart, we’ve all done it. An impromptu drink at a friend’s house, and then we have to get home. We don’t stay the night, or even ring round for a taxi, we think, just this once, it will be ok.

All Men and Women are Equal?

Even if many countries allow same sex relationships, culturally and socially, it is not always acceptable, particularly amongst older family members. Despite the laws to protect them many homosexuals and lesbians carry on their relationships behind closed doors for fear of attack.

Although, for example, in Argentina, homosexuality is legal, it is not considered something to be particularly open about; the same applies to Cyprus. For instance, same sex relationships have only recently become legally acceptable in the northern Turkish part of the island. Up until 2006 homosexuality was illegal and punishable by prison sentence, but with Turkey’s desire to join the European Union and thus take northern Cyprus with them, the law has had to come into line with the rest of Europe.

Abortion

When you are deciding to re-locate, there are things that you research…cost of living, visa requirements, laws for buying a house, language etc. Many other aspects of a culture you will not find out about until you have lived there for a while.
